Congratulations to the Year 10 students who have completed their Silver Duke of Edinburgh! There are a number of students who are almost finished and I hope this will spur them on to finalise their paperwork.
The Silver DofE involved lengthy commitments to developing a SKILL, being involved in VOLUNTARY work and being PHYSICALLY active. The students also completed a three day expedition walk on the South Downs.
The DofE award scheme is a rewarding scheme to follow and students develop new skills as well as learning a lot about themselves. Aspects of it are quite demanding.
The new course for Bronze and Silver is being introduced on Wednesday at an Information Evening.
Well done to the Year 10 students!
