Toddler Room

Children in the Toddler Room are aged between 12-24 months, and they can move from the Baby Room any time from 12 months old depending on their development.

Facilities
• All the toys and resources are located in low level storage so that the children can access them independently.
• The room has its own dedicated toilets and changing area in a separate, adjoining room.
• There is a kitchen area with sinks for both food preparation and mess play.
• The Toddler Room shares a sleep room with the Babies. Each child has their own labelled cot or bed (depending on your preference).
• Toddlers (with the babies) have their own garden. This is covered so the children can have access to the outside all year round. The children are also sometimes taken into the shared garden to be with the older children.
• Use of the school gym and there is a small indoor baby gym which the children enjoy using on a regular basis.

Meals
Meals are cooked onsite using fresh ingredients by our personal chef. Each child’s dietary requirements are carefully recorded and used by staff.

Working with you
All children have an individual Early Years Foundation Stage Profile. This contains their personalised learning plans, observations that have been made and photos that have been taken of your child. We work alongside parents at all times and you may see the profile at any time.

Our partnership with you
Your child will be given a plastic folder with two exercise books telling you all about your child's day and give you the opportunity to feed back to us through the contact book.

Routine
Routine is essential in every child’s life. Every daily routine will enable your child to enjoy learning through discovery and free play while simultaneously maintaining the highest standards of personal care and hygiene.
