We will encourage you to explore and become more adventurous, taking risks in a managed way, free from judgement. As a Sixth Former you have a role to play in our school, shouldering responsibility and serving the community of our students.

Every student has the opportunity to develop leadership skills; at Old Palace we provide experience of leadership through a unique variety of elected and voluntary positions in a number of areas:

• Leading the Student Council
• Debating or public speaking
• Taking responsibility for House activities
• Musical opportunities
• Drama productions
• The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and Young

Enterprise
• Enrichment Programme that offers further variety including Art, Law and Fitness

In addition every student will develop skills mirroring the requirements of communication, collaborative working, problem solving and abstract reasoning demanded by today’s employers.

Our Sixth Form offers a distinctively broad range of subject choices with opportunities to take up to 5.5 subjects at AS and A2 level. All of our students are equipped to go to university. Those achieving top marks aim for Oxbridge whilst others explore courses at a variety of excellent universities; fulfilment and enjoyment are key aims for all Old Palace students tasting university education.
