Many congratulations to Zaynah, who has won a London Leaders Award for her innovative design of a motor turbine which could be placed in the motorway to catch wind from the speed of passing cars and generate renewable energy.
London Leaders Awards is an engineering competition which encourages students from secondary schools in London to identify a real world problem and design an engineering solution to it. Out of thousands of entries across London schools, Zaynah’s design was one of only two chosen to be made into a prototype.
