Every Thursday, Old Palace Students are selected to attend after-school Hockey training at Trinity. This is a session that Sumaiya and Suraiya have been helping Miss Rodwell run.
The Hockey squad has grown from 10 to over 38 in the last couple of years. Due to a high demand for these training sessions, there is a rotation of Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 students each week. It has been a fantastic opportunity for the students. They have been learning about first touch, ball control, different types of hits, shooting, defending and also about formation on the pitch. The students have improved immensely, it has been great to see their love for hockey grow. The students are really looking forward to lots of Hockey fixtures next term.
