The culmination of Cultural Week at Seniors was Cultural Day and it was lovely to see so many students wearing dresses/saris reflecting their national culture/heritage.
The highlight of the day was the lunchtime Catwalk Show in the Banqueting Hall. It was fascinating to hear from students how their outfits reflected the origins of their country in terms of colour and style, with many designed to be worn in countries much hotter then the UK. Ms Sinclair, representing Scotland, explained how her own outfit of a woolen skirt, jacket and jumper was driven by the need for practicality since the weather in the far north of Scotland was ‘always dreadful!’.
