Many congratulations to Madinah, in Year 13, who came up with the idea as part of her Gold Arts Award course which the Dance Department delivers to Sixth Formers. She says: “The first and foremost motivation behind running Cultural Festival Week was to highlight the importance of recognising and owning our own individual cultures.”
The week included a Cultural Festival Catwalk show, a musical theatre workshop, a Chinese Character Writing Workshop and a Capoeira (Brazilian martial arts) Workshop. The highlight was the stunning Cultural Festival Performance which involved dance, singing and musical performances from students across the Senior School.
