OPAs Maria Kolpakchi and Catherine Jones took part in a fundraising concert for Ukraine in Croydon Minster last Friday lunchtime.
The concert, which was organised by Maria (a first-generation Ukraine), brought together some amazing young musicians together with Maria’s parents, who alongside their daughter, sang three, emotive Ukrainian folk songs.
Those of us who attended felt very privileged to have heard such wonderful music. A big thank you as well to students from our Senior School choir, who sang so beautifully.
Maria has been overwhelmed by people’s generosity; her original target has been almost doubled!
