Huge congratulations to our Year 8 superstar netball team who won the Croydon Schools Netball tournament on Tuesday.
The girls played a demanding seven matches but they were undefeated in every match with some excellent score lines; 11-0, 9-0, 9-0 and 7-1.
We qualified for the semi-finals and played against Riddlesdown who started off strong, scoring first. However, OPS came back to win 5-1 putting us through to the final against Coloma.
This was a tough match with the score line continually changing yet OPS held their heads high and kept fighting to the final whistle finishing with a 5-3 win making Old Palace Croydon Champions! This is thoroughly deserved after a season of fantastic commitment and team work. Well done all.
