At lunchtime today, Pre School and Prep enjoyed a very special lunch to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
After a week of rain, the sun finally shone which meant we were able to hold it outside; and what a memorable time we had. The girls had a fantastic time as they enjoyed sandwiches, fruit, cupcakes, strawberries and ice cream. We would like to say a huge thank you to our catering team, headed by Mr Haigh-Mclane, for all their hard work. We really do appreciate it.
This afternoon, Mrs Nike and Mr Haigh-Mclane, our Catering Manager, presided over a special tree-planting ceremony to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Mrs Nike explained to the whole school how important trees are to our environment. She then invited every girl to participate in the planting of the two fruit trees, which have been kindly donated to the School by our catering company, Holroyd Howe.
