Spring Prep Soloists Concert
On Thursday 21 March, students from Years 2-6 entertained friends and families with a wonderful afternoon concert. On this occasion two ensembles also performed.
Prep Orchestra began the concert with ‘Mull of Kintyre’ featuring a beautiful solo from talented violinist Abigail Regan whilst the fabulous ‘Ministrings’ brought the concert to a rousing close with ‘Swinging Sheriff Blues’. Sandwiched in between were a variety of solo performances from eighteen students with pieces such as ‘Tingalayo’, ‘Hoedown’, ‘He’s a Pirate’, ‘Lavender’s Blue’, ‘Sad Ghost’, ‘Nocturne in E flat’ and ‘Girl on Fire’. A wonderful range of music and definitely something for everyone!
Well done to everyone who took part but particularly to Amelia, Charlotte K and Amelie who performed a solo to an audience on their instruments for the very first time. A huge thank you to two of our wonderful Visiting Music Team, Mrs Ellie Parry-Dickinson and Mrs Karina Lucas (also in picture), for their support at the concert and accompanying pupils.
