On Monday 11thOctober, the U14 A+B netball teams both had a match at home against Caterham School.
The U14 A’s match got off to a strong start. The pace was fast and spirits were high and Old Palace went into the match with a positive attitude. As the match progressed, the girls worked well as a team and by the end of the first half the score was 3-2 to Old Palace. In the second half Old Palace worked on their passes and communication and managed to stretch their lead, with the final score ending with a 7-4 win against Caterham. Their hard work and determination as a team shows promising signs for the season ahead.
The U14 B team worked hard to intercept as many balls as they could, but Caterham had a particularly strong attack, making it difficult to delay their play and stop the ball going into the shooting circle. The final score was 7-1 to Caterham. Despite this loss the U14 B’s as a team have identified the areas in which they need to improve and are determined to work hard ready for their next match.
