Just before half term, Year 2 were very excited to be setting off to Coombe Woods to investigate the local plant life.
We spotted colourful flowers such as rhododendron, daisies and poppies. We also identified ash trees, oak trees and hazel trees by looking carefully at the shape of the leaves. On our walk around the pond we spotted dragonflies, bees and butterflies. After a while, we stopped for a fruit snack on the grass and sketched and coloured-in flowers. We had a fantastic time on our sunny nature walk.
