Just before half term, we welcomed guest speaker Mr Lee Lawrence to a PSHE session on ‘diversity’. Mr Lawrence shared his personal experiences and talked to students about: mending relationships between community groups, reconciliations when things go wrong, and creating positive communities. The session ended with an opportunity for students to ask questions.
The Cherry Groce Foundation was set up in 2016 in memory of Cherry Groce, Mr Lawrence’s mother. The Foundation is “committed to carry out its work in the momentum of the positive energy that radiated from Cherry Groce and her belief that truth and justice will ultimately triumph”.
